Welcome back, Dr. Caitlin Grant!

The entire Ontario Veterinary College Nutrition team is thrilled to welcome back Dr. Caitlin Grant to our team as an Assistant Professor and as the recipient of the Nestlé Purina Professorship in Companion Animal Nutrition!

Dr. Grant is a graduate of the University of Guelph and the Ontario Veterinary College, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology in 2010, and a degree in 2014 after graduating with honours. After graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College, Dr. Grant practised locally in a rural mixed animal practice for 3 years. To follow her passion for nutrition, Dr. Grant returned to OVC in 2017 to complete a nutrition residency through the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) degree in September 2020.

Dr. Grant’s research and interest has been in feline obesity and nutrient intake during weight loss, and her first study was recently published in BMC Veterinary Research.
